2024 Women in Construction: Luisa Coppola, Rockland Trust Bank

Luisa Coppola
VP, Commercial Loan Officer
Rockland Trust Bank

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? I have a unique perspective on the construction industry, as I partner directly with the builders/developers to advise and customize their particular banking solutions. In turn, they can operate their business more efficiently and work towards achieving their goals. I enjoy learning not only how each unique business functions, but also about the projects and buildings they are working on. I can understand and appreciate the fundamentals of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry by working with the people who make it happen. Driving by a customer project that I was able to help facilitate is a tremendous feeling!

What is your favorite / most beneficial part of Women in Construction week? I love that there is an entire week dedicated to supporting and recognizing women in this industry! It is wonderful that the NEREJ appreciates these inspiring and talented women. It is especially significant that we are able to recognize women in a traditionally male-dominated field. The AEC industry is filled with diverse groups of people who have many different valuable skills and insights to offer.
