2024 Ones to Watch - Rising Stars: Phil Randall, Groom Construction, Co., Inc.

Phil Randall
Project Manager
Groom Construction, Co., Inc.

“Phil excels at building strong client relationships, consistently delivering successful projects and generating repeat business from existing clients. His proactive approach and communication skills have earned him high praise and multiple endorsements for new projects, making him a standout rising star in our company.” - David Groom, Principal at Groom Construction Co., Inc.

In the last 12 months what accomplishment are you most proud of? The accomplishments I gain the most pride from have been turning new clients into repeat customers. I turned over a handful of projects in the last 12 months for first-time clients. From customers to 3rd party reps, and design teams I have received multiple recommendations and endorsements for new projects. It is great to bring new business into our company and to feel appreciated both internally and externally.

How do you balance your rising career with your personal life? Outside of work I play tennis and hockey competitively. Construction can be stressful, but I find athletics to be a great way of letting out energy and having to fully focus on something that isn’t work. When I am not working or playing, I’m spending time with my fiancée and two dogs.

Who are the key people in your life that have contributed to your success?

All of the higher ups at my company have been instrumental to my success. We have a great work environment that allows for autonomy and personal growth if you are willing to put in the work. I have been enabled to bet on myself and take on new challenges while never feeling micromanaged.
