2024 Ones to Watch - Rising Stars: Kevin Hanrahan, The Washington Trust Company

Kevin Hanrahan
Vice President
The Washington Trust Company

“Kevin demonstrates an extremely strong work ethic and knowledge base of the overall lending process. He has developed excellent credit skills during his career and works with his customers to create prudent loan structures that keep the best interest of the bank in mind while maintaining competitiveness. He is a willing team member who takes on additional projects and always maintains a high level of professionalism with his positive attitude, good judgement and respect for others. Kevin is one of the hardest workers that I have come across and he accepts feedback graciously, always looking to grow professionally and personally. Kevin is a role model to his peers and I have no doubt that he will be a phenomenal leader one day.” - Bethany Lyons, SVP Team Leader CRE Dept at The Washington Trust Company.

How do you balance your rising career with your personal life? I like to spend my free time outside and on adventures with my wife and our two kids. Having activities or vacations planned provides something to look forward to, and being outside allows me to be mindful and recharge. I enjoy training for road races, golfing, and visiting new places.

Outside of your career, where else do you seek continuous learning and personal growth? I enjoy reading books about courageous and determined individuals who have overcome adversity on their way to success. I utilize their stories and philosophies for inspiration and to challenge and improve my physical and mental health.
