In the last 12 months what accomplishment are you most proud of? I joined ARB one year ago after eight years at another firm. My purpose for making this transition was to take control of my career and be intentional about concentrating on real estate, development and related activities. In the last twelve months I’ve done just that, establishing myself amongst new peers and clients and stepping out into the business community with a reinvigorated drive and passion and I couldn’t be more proud of that accomplishment.

How do you balance your rising career with your personal life? Maintaining a work-life separation is crucial, but there is overlap. The key to balancing the two for me has been capitalizing on opportunities that are fulfilling both personally and professionally. I’m naturally extroverted, love meeting new people and hearing about projects and businesses in the community, even in my free time and where part of public accounting is maintaining and growing relationships, I’ve been able to find that balance in business development and networking.

Who are the key people in your life that have contributed to your success? The people that have contributed to my success are my family, friends and employers, past and present. My friends and family have provided me with support, encouragement, and numerous sounding boards that have all been critical to considering and making career-based, life-altering decisions. My employers have provided me with countless learning experiences and educational opportunities. Put it all together and you get the professional I am today, with my success owed to them all.

Outside of your career, where else do you seek continuous learning and personal growth? Outside of my career and professional life, the area where I seek continuous learning and personal growth is meeting new people and learning from their experiences. People are who their amalgamation of life experiences has made them to be. Getting to know someone is to know their experiences, and to know their experiences is to learn from them. The key to growth for me is personal relationships, always has been and always will be.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
