2023 Women in CRE: Ipsitha Bayapu, Northstar Project & Real Estate Services

Ipsitha Bayapu
Project Manager
Northstar Project & Real Estate Services

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I am managing a multi-year lab renovation project that is driven by life science stakeholders. While we are only halfway through the execution, I am most proud of the collaborative environment the team maintains. It helps us navigate challenging problems while keeping a balance between all interests – design changes, construction conflicts or occupancy expectations. The team stays focused on achieving the goals of end users, which will ultimately improve the quality of healthcare.

What are the most important factors women in your industry should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with? With a growing number of women stepping into the real estate industry, I recommend choosing a firm that recognizes your unique potential and nurtures you with guidance and resources. An ideal firm should entrust you with opportunities. Choose a firm that believes in you and supports you at every step.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you? I draw inspiration from everyone I engage with in my everyday life – family, friends and colleagues. I believe we are surrounded with endless sources of knowledge and inspiration – I am most inspired by dedication and a can-do attitude.

No matter how daunting a task might be, tackling it one step at a time with a levelheaded mindset will help achieve even the most ambitious goals.
