2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Dan Ren, NEI General Contracting

Dan Ren
Project Manager
NEI General Contracting

Number of years at firm: 5

One thing on my bucket list: Travel around the world and try local cuisine

When I am not working, I am: Listening to music.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Morton Station Village is a four-story building with 40 units of mixed-income housing in Mattapan, Mass., and spans 34,000 s/f. It’s the first project I managed as a project manager, and it allowed me to take on greater responsibility. I gained invaluable experience in communication and collaboration with the entire project team, skills I can leverage in future projects. As I continue to gain experience, I’m becoming more confident and comfortable in my role. I’m excited to challenge myself further and the lessons and skills I learned from Morton Station Village will undoubtedly shape my career for years to come.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?
“Working with Dan for the past three years has been a privilege. Her diligence, intelligence, and high standards raise everyone’s game, and she excels at every task. Dan is an invaluable member of the NEI team and a shining example of workplace excellence.” - Ken Calder, Project Manager at NEI General Contracting
