Starting out in the construction business, who or what empowered you? Starting out my Dad empowered me. He was a union carpenter for over 33 years and took great pride in the building process and what he was able to create. Our bond of construction started when I was young and when it was time to enter the industry officially, he was there to listen and guide me. His real-life knowledge, of being on the site, is what empowered me the most. He taught me to ask questions, learn about what others are doing and why. Everyone is equal and everyone has something to learn from each other.
