2020 Year in Review: Jay Hirsh, Jumbo Capital & Surus Construction

What was the most difficult part of working during the pandemic of 2020? Remotely running a business and a home school while sorting out the logistics of the Pandemic. It was like having three jobs and the same amount of hours in the week.

What aspects of working from home have you enjoyed most? Being able to spend more time with my kids, less traffic and more elbow room at my favorite restaurants.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project,

deal, or transaction in 2020? Fortunately we’ve had a few good things happen to us during 2020. 

What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2021? Interest rates will continue to stay low other than that I haven’t seen enough data to commit to any other predictions on what ’21 holds.

What is the best advice you have received, and who was it from? “You want the asset you better be prepared to assume the liability” – My Mom
