Which project, deal, or transaction was the “game-changer” in the advancement of your career? Without a doubt, my first commercial closing. Seeing the culmination of all my hard work during each stage of the transaction, from due diligence, to contract signing, to closing (and everything in between), come to fruition was extremely rewarding. From the moment that deed was recorded I was hooked, and I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.

What advice can you offer to someone who is interested in a career in your industry? Remember that no two transactions are the same, and every transaction offers a lesson to be learned. Make the most of every opportunity by immersing yourself in the real world, and soak up as much hands-on experience as you can. Learn as much as you can from as many people as you can, positive or negative. And, finally, give yourself time to carve your own path, everything will eventually fall into place.

If your life were made into a movie, what actor would you want to portray you? Matthew McConaughey.
