What led you to your current profession? My profession was not truly on my radar until the day I walked into DGC’s offices. As an individual with an interest and tolerance for numbers and puzzles, the financial world seemed like a great fit. Through a series of lucky choices, from my college to my final accounting firm interview that landed me at DGC, I found a profession that I love. The combination of my peers and the firm’s clients has provided such a great mix of challenges and learning opportunities that keep me engaged daily.

How do you contribute to your community or your profession? I love being part of a small New England community up in New Hampshire and have the opportunity to volunteer and coach for my little girls’ youth soccer teams, which is a great way to spend time with the family. Professionally, I like to be involved with as many different facets and departments, to help educate the next generation of DGC and ensure quality work product.

What advice can you offer to someone who is interested in a career in your industry? My advice is to look for those places to learn and work at that offer a breadth of opportunity. To be a CPA means many different things to many different people. So, for those interested in accounting, challenge yourself to be taken out of your comfort zone and push your own boundaries. That attitude will usually push you to find that company you like working for within a field you find fascinating.
