William. A. Berry & Son tops off $27 million Heywood Hospital addition

William A. Berry & and Son, Inc. joined with officials of Heywood Hospital and members of the local community to top off construction of a 72,000 s/f addition that will house the Watkins Acute Care and Emergency Center and new clinical areas. Completing the frame is a major milestone in construction of the new building, designed by TRO: The Ritchie Organization, is scheduled to be completed in July 2010. The $27 million addition will accommodate the new Emergency Center and two floors for inpatient services. The multi-phased project also includes relocation of CT and MRI services, renovations to the existing emergency room, construction of a new clinical and oncology building, as well as lobby and entryway renovations.
