2020 Women in Construction: Kat Howland, Director of Marketing at Jewett Construction

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? Jewett Construction launched a brand-new interactive website that features a clean modern design, with easy navigation, and helpful tools. Through this launch and future growth of the company website, Jewett Construction moves forward as an industry leader in the design-build space dedicated to delivering projects on time and on budget. We also released a beautiful video featuring all of our team members and our major projects through the year, if you haven’t seen it yet I recommend you check it out. 

When I’m not working I am…Spending time outside. I love getting out and getting fresh air. 

What are you doing differently in 2020 that has had a positive impact on your career? I’m spending more time working with young people mentoring them on career options. I think it’s so important that we help build the construction field by showcase the various job options to young people as frequently as possible.
