White joins Spinnaker Real Estate Partners as VP of construction

Norwalk, CT Spinnaker Real Estate Partners has appointed Barry White to the new position of vice president of construction.

Based in the New Haven Spinnaker office, White will lead the overall execution, budget, schedule and quality control from pre-construction to completion and close-out of primarily residential and mixed-used projects throughout the state.

White brings more than 25 years of experience in all facets of residential, commercial, and military privatization construction management.

He comes to Spinnaker from AvalonBay Communities where he served as director of construction overseeing properties in both Fairfield and Westchester counties. White previously worked with Pointe Builders in Norwalk after relocating from Atlanta where he held roles in operations and construction at Balfour Beatty Construction.

“We are thrilled to have Barry on board,” said Clay Fowler, Spinnaker’s chairman, CEO and principal. “His expertise and leadership will be instrumental in supervising our many construction projects in the region and help us move forward productively to meet our goals.”

Spinnaker also appointed Carlos Ossa as project manager in Hartford, initially serving as on-site construction manager for Park & Main, the company’s mixed-use development project that recently broke ground at the intersection of Park and Main Sts. Originally from Colombia, South America, Ossa, a longtime resident of Hartford, most recently worked as a consultant with an engineering steel construction company in Colombia and a Canadian plastic injection firm where he oversaw engineering and development projects and served as project director of structural construction projects, including hotels, warehouses, bridges and apartment complexes.
