The most notable project of 2016 concerns infrastructure improvements. A new Main Ave. opened, bringing to an end the more than 20 years of uncertainty relative to expansion of TF Green State Airport. Longer runways and safety over run areas also installed in 2016. And finally, the ahead of schedule, and under budget Apponaug circulator project brought two-way traffic and great economic development potential back to the historic village of Apponaug. These infrastructure enhancements put Warwick in a good place for continued growth.
