Welch rejoins Eastern Bank as senior VP

Boston, MA According to Eastern Bank, Brian Welch has rejoined the organization as senior vice president, team leader in the commercial real estate division. Welch’s career spans roles in commercial real estate lending with a range of clients including public REITs, private equity funds and large middle market developers. Earlier in his career, he served in various roles including as a credit analyst and relationship manager with Eastern’s Commercial Real Estate Group.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brian back to Eastern,” said Matthew Osborne, executive vice president, senior commercial banking officer at Eastern Bank. “He is experienced in advising a range of real estate-related funds and REITs on a variety of credit and non-credit products and services, and we look forward to how his experience will round out our offering to the commercial real estate sector.”

Prior to joining Eastern, Welch worked at HSBC Bank as senior vice president, team leader, commercial real estate in Boston, where he led a team responsible for the origination and management of a complex, billion dollar portfolio of institutional commercial real estate clients. He previously was a senior vice president at TD Bank, where he managed a multi-billion dollar portfolio of primarily institutional commercial real estate clients with a specific focus towards public REITS and private equity funds.
