Weaver of Jack Conway earns green designation from National Association of Realtors

Matt Weaver, a Jack Conway Plymouth agent, is now more qualified to show his clients how to have energy-efficient homes. He recently completed coursework to earn his "green designation" from the National Association of Realtors (NAR). "The NAR training included information about helping our home buyers and sellers to see a property's green potential," said Weaver. "Sellers may not realize that by investing in some improvements to their homes, such as ventilation systems to bring fresh air inside, a radiant heat panel, or even something as simple as daylight spectrum lightbulbs, they can make their property more valuable and attractive to potential buyers." Weaver also intends to counsel his clients about incentive programs offered by the state and federal government to help fund green improvements to a home. "Many people don't know that they can install a complete solar heating system in their house and get reimbursed for a large percentage of the cost," said Weaver. "That's why I wanted to take the NAR course so that I can tell my buyers and sellers how they can make healthy choices that are also easy on their wallet." Al Medina, the director of NAR's Green Designation, said his program was developed in response to consumer awareness of the benefits of energy-efficient homes. "Our designation identifies Realtors who are specially trained to help customers who care about issues like sustainable resources," said Medina. "As a Green Designee, Matt Weaver has gained the knowledge and tools to become a trusted resource for Plymouth and the South Shore." Weaver is "happy" that NAR recognized the need to educate its agents on green issues. "As a Realtor, I am eager to spread the word to all my homeowners. You can lead a green lifestyle. It's not only cost-effective, but it's the right thing to do."

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
