Woburn, MA Joyce Vyriotes has been appointed to the executive committee of Cummings Properties. The 10-member group is the senior leadership team of the 350-person commercial real estate firm.
Now director of communications and marketing, Vyriotes joined Cummings in 2010 as marketing manager. Over the years, she assumed greater responsibility, eventually establishing, growing, and leading a communications department that serves the internal and external communications needs of Cummings Properties and Cummings Foundation.
In addition, as pro bono deputy director of Cummings Foundation, Vyriotes oversees the administration of its grant programs, which serve more than 400 local nonprofits annually. The foundation recently announced $25 million in awards.
“Such appointments are rare at Cummings, underscoring Joyce’s strong capabilities and impactful contributions, which she has produced through her skillfulness, expertise, leadership, and character,” said chairman and CEO Dennis Clarke.
Vyriotes began her career doing sales and marketing for Boston Duck Tours during the popular tour company’s early years. She then spent a decade in Arizona working in the nonprofit sector.
“I’ve been so enriched by my experience at this dynamic and unusually philanthropic company,” said Vyriotes. “It’s an honor to now serve on the executive committee.”
