VaproShield introduces vapor permeable, air and weather resistive barrier utilizing recycled plastic

VaproShield, industry leaders of innovative breathable membrane systems for walls and roofs has released a new product.ReNewShield, a new patent pending, vapor permeable, air and weather resistive barrier utilizing 70% PET (recycled plastic). ReNewShield is manufactured using recycled plastic (PET 1). By volume, 70% of ReNewShield content is from recycled plastic. It is 100% recyclable after its useful life, fully incorporating the "Cradle-to-Cradle" design concept. The sustainable design of ReNewShield requires 70% less virgin material than other conventional building wraps, greatly reducing the environmental impact and carbon footprint. ReNewShield Key Features * Suitable for use on all types of commercial and residential construction * Sustains 120 Days of UV and climate exposure * Installs quickly and easily, mechanically attaching directly to plywood, OSB and gypsum sheathing * Standard VaproShield 20 year warranty Lee Snyder, of VaproShield said, "We are pleased to have this revolutionary new product on the market. It gives design professionals a new alternative for creating a 'green' rain screen building envelopes." VaproShield estimates that for every 30,000 s/f of ReNewShield used, they are recycling, 70,000 water/pop bottles.
