US Window and Door nears completion of sound insulation program for 54 units - $1.23m

US Window and Door is in the final stage of wrapping up the 54 unit residential sound insulation program for Massachusetts Port Authority's Noise Mitigation Program Project No. L451-C13. The project consisted of noise mitigation modifications to 54 occupied units of multi-family and/or apartment units to achieve the reduction of jet noise intrusion. The $1.23 million contract was completed on-time - within 16 weeks - and within budget. Work included the replacement of existing windows and doors, door weather-stripping, interior wall and ceiling modifications, mechanical and electrical upgrades, as well as other sound-mitigating measures. US Window and Door is a national noise mitigation company serving regional and international airports throughout the country. Since 1989, the members of US Window and Door have completed over 6,000 units, totaling over $120 million dollars, of work directly related to sound mitigation work around airports such as Logan International Airport in Boston, O'Hare International Airport in Chicago and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in Cleveland.
