Boston, MA A good time was had by all on Thursday, February 8th at ASM’s first member mixer of the year held at Cornwall’s in Kenmore Sq.  Those that attended sampled six great tastes including a full-bodied scotch and a smooth whiskey/port.  Everyone received a lesson on how to correctly drink whiskey to appreciate all the subtle flavors and learned how the barrel impacts the taste of whiskey.  It was a great networking opportunity for all that attended complete with tasty appetizers and some fun whiskey knowledge.   Special thank you to the event sponsor Strang, Scott, Giroux and Young. 

Join us on Wednesday, March 21st for an exciting GC and Subs panel presentation called, “Building” Trust, being held at Embassy Suites in Waltham starting at 7:30 am.  Our panelists will have a candid discussion about ways the industry can work together to achieve better project results and improve relations to increase future business opportunities. Panelists include:  James Apodaca, project executive at Commodore Builders, Aimee Kingston, director of special projects group at Dimeo Construction Co., Jacquie Magill, founder/president at EDM Construction Inc. and James Miller, executive vice president at Salem Glass Co. David O’Connor, Esq. of O’Connor & Associates, LLC will moderate this session.  The entire AEC community will benefit from attending this open-dialogue, educational and networking event.  

On Thursday, March 22nd, we have two esteemed panelists that will navigate the sensitive issue of workplace sexual harassment via our new online “Lunch and Learn” series.  Michael Sams, Esq. and Ryan Menard, Esq., both of Kenney & Sams, P.C., will lead the discussion, explain risks and talk about how best to guard against them. With cases and claims popping up seemingly every day, reviewing and updating our risk management procedures is imperative!
