On January 24, ASM is holding its bi-monthly Safety Roundtable.Safety Roundtables are provided free of charge for ASM members. Timothy Irving, assistant regional administrator for the OSHA Boston Region I Office will bring ASM Members up to speed on vital OSHA updates including electronic injury and illness reporting, the NLRB decision concerning joint employers, fatalities and injuries, and other OSHA updates critical to subcontractors. Also on January 24, ASM is proud to co-sponsor a ASM, NAWIC and ASPE Young Professionals January social networking event at The Black Rose in downtown Boston. AEC professionals will meet to enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in a relaxed setting. While members enjoy a discounted price, non-members are welcome to join in the festivities.

ASM is excited to kick off 2018 with several timely webinars available to both members and non-members. Log on from the comfort of your office or home and learn how to manage a variety of risks you may encounter in your business.

The first webinar of the year is on January 25 and is entitled, “Elevating Safety- Discussing Upcoming Changes with Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs)”. In this session, attendees will learn about many of the upcoming changes to the regulatory requirements for the safe use of MEWPs, ANSI A92 and CSA B254. Our panelists will explain how these changes affect employers and their workforce in the day to day use of scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other related equipment.

On February 8, ASM Members are in for a real treat at a whiskey tasting. Co-hosted by ASM member Strang, Scott, Giroux & Young, LLP, Cornwalls (right under the famous Citgo Sign in Fenway) will be the venue for some amazing whiskey sips, and what we’re sure will be a night to remember.

The next webinar of the year will take place on February 15, and will help you learn “How to Find the Most Effective Advertising for Your Specific Business”. Whether you are looking to increase your overall brand exposure or trying to connect with potential customers, our expert can help you establish your primary goal(s); track your results; determine advertising winners and losers; balance your risk, and much more.
