United Construction to develop 33 acre Flagstone Industrial Park

United Construction Co. is the developer of the 33 acre Flagstone Industrial Park off of Rte. 103 in the Guild section of town. The town received funding to start upgrades to Bald Mountain Rd. to provide access to the park. A $500,000 Community Development Block Grant and the creation of a Tax Increment Finance (TIF) district will be used for installation of 1,500 linear feet of public water lines, three-phase power and sewer lines. According to United Const.'s vice president Tod Whipple, the 22 lot park maybe used for machining, warehousing, manufacturing and distribution. All structures in the park will be sold or leased on a build-to-suit basis for each tenant. The multi-phase project could be completed within 10 years, eventually adding hundreds of full-time jobs to the area. United Const. plans to relocate its offices to the park as an anchor tenant. The company's new facility will consist of a 5,000 s/f office building and a 10,000 s/f shop.
