Dorchester, MA On May 19, employees from Skanska USA’s Boston office joined mayor Walsh and Boston police commissioner William Evans at the 2017 Associated General Contractors (AGC) Annual Community Service event at St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children. St. Mary’s Center offers family-centered programs for women and children who have experienced trauma and are living in poverty. Skanska partnered with the AGC to host this year’s event. The team performed much-needed renovations to both St. Mary’s House and the GRLZ Radio and Office. From cleaning kitchen equipment to insulating walls, Skanska and members from AGC’s MA chapter completed a checklist of necessary repairs to create a soundproof environment for the radio station, and a fresh, clean and organized storage space in the St. Mary’s House.

Skanska USA is passionate about the communities in which it works. Skanska has supported various organizations throughout Boston through donations to local schools and participating in regular volunteering days at organizations such as this.
