Thru the Lens: Room to Dream Foundation held their 4th annual Golf Tournament sponsored by Shawmut Design and Construction and raised more than $100,000

Room to Dream Foundation, which focuses on creating healing environments in hospitals, communities and homes for children and adolescents who are facing chronic illnesses, held their 4th annual Room to Dream Golf Tournament sponsored by Shawmut Design and Construction and raised more than $100,000. The tournament was held October 3rd at Turner Hill. "The Room to Dream Golf Tournament is one of our most important fundraising events each year," said Stefan Nathanson, founder and president of Room to Dream. "The generosity of everybody involved in organizing the event, including our presenting sponsor Shawmut, will help improve the lives of many young patients who are challenged daily by a chronic illness." Room to Dream Foundation was created in 2006, and provides exciting renovations and home improvement projects specifically designed to improve the quality of life, and to promote strength, imagination and self-worth to aid in the recovery process for young people coping with chronic illnesses and their families. The foundation is comprised of and supported by architects, interior designers, and building professionals who donate time, talent, and materials to successfully complete each project. "Room to Dream provides an avenue for employees at Shawmut to use their skills to significantly improve the lives of local families during a challenging time," said Williams Hughes, president of Shawmut.
