Consigli Construction Co., Inc. held a silent auction event on July 19th at Hadlock Field, home of the Portland Sea Dogs, to benefit the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital. This is the third year that Consigli has held a business networking event to benefit a local charity or non-profit. Over 30 local subcontractors and vendors, architecture and engineering firms, building owners and managers attended and participated in the auction, ultimately raising $13,000. Barbara Bush Children's Hospital patients and their families were also invited to join in the event activities which included ballpark refreshments, batting practice and tours of the stadium. The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center is Maine's only full-service children's hospital and offers everything from well-child visits to specialized medical and surgical treatment of complex illnesses and injuries. The hospital was named in honor of Barbara Bush's long-standing commitment to children's issues in the state of Maine. "We are thrilled to have had the turnout and support of so many of our business partners who are committed to supporting such an important community resource," said Matthew Tonello, area manager for Consigli's Portland office.
