The Village Bank hosts Stuff a Cruiser Gift Drive

Newton, MA The Village Bank has teamed up with the Newton Police Department for the annual Stuff A Cruiser Holiday Gift Drive. Now in its 12th year, the drive helps collects gifts to ensure local children experience the joy of the holiday season.

The first opportunity to stuff a cruiser with gifts will be at Newton’s Holiday Tree Lighting at City Hall on December 5 at 6:00 p.m.

Members of the community are invited to join in on the singalong and bring unwrapped gifts for children ages newborn to 10, including age-appropriate clothing, games, sporting goods, or toys. Gift certificates purchased from local merchants may also be donated to help support City businesses.

Gift donations can also be made during Newton Cultural Alliance’s Holiday Stroll & Shop on Saturday, December 7 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Individuals and families are invited to come and meet Santa, enjoy other holiday surprises, and stuff the cruiser, which will be parked next to Police Headquarters in West Newton Square.

As part of the holiday gift drive, collection boxes will also be available at The Village Bank branches in Auburndale, Newton Centre, Newtonville, Newton Highlands, Nonantum, Waban, and West Newton through December 16.

The Village Bank, chartered by the state in 1910, has eight full-service offices in Newton and Wayland and a Village Loan Center in Upper Falls. The Bank offers online banking services at village-bank.com and maintains a Facebook presence at facebook.com/villagebank.
