The Shelter Group's new 160,000 s/f $20 million Brightview senior living community to open soon

The residents of the North Shore are looking forward to the opening of Brightview, a new senior living community located at 50 Endicott St. Brightview will offer personalized residential care services for seniors and a selection of lifestyles including independent living, assisted living and dementia care. The new $20 million Brightview project is being developed by The Shelter Group of Baltimore, Md. and will be operated by Brightview Senior Living. JSA Architects Inc. of Portsmouth, N.H. is the project architect and Pro Con Inc. of Manchester, N.H. is the construction manager for the Danvers property which is the first Brightview-constructed community in Massachusetts. With a choice of apartment homes, the goal at Brightview is to accommodate the lifestyle needs of individual residents. Brightview at Danvers will offer 160 apartment homes, including 88 independent living apartments, 48 assisted living apartments and 24 apartments for Alzheimer's and dementia care called, Wellspring Village. The apartments, which are all under one roof, will range in size from 300 to 950 s/f and offer residents a variety of floor plans and care options. The grounds will be fully landscaped and the residents of Wellspring Village will have access to a landscaped secure courtyard. The 3-story 160,000 s/f Brightview community will offer a vibrant social environment where housekeeping, dining, transportation, and maintenance are provided by a caring staff. Plans call for the community to have an elegant dining room, pub, wellness/fitness center, on-site movie theater, beauty/barber salon and information center which will include a library and computer lab with internet. Future residents of Brightview, along with representatives of Brightview Senior Living, city officials, and construction team members attended the Brightview groundbreaking ceremony which was held in July 2007, and the topping-off ceremony celebrating the last piece of steel being placed, in October 2007. Pro Con Inc. has scheduled a July 2008 completion date for the project and the community is planning to open in August. Brightview Senior Living currently operates 16 communities in 8 states.
