The Peabody Cos. names Fish-Will as chairperson and Fish-Crane as CEO

Braintree, MA According to The Peabody Companies, Karen Fish-Will has been named chairperson and Melissa Fish-Crane, CPM, NAHP-e, will serve as CEO.

Both Fish-Will and Fish-Crane are principals of The Peabody Companies.

With more than 41 years at The Peabody Companies and as chairperson, Fish-Will will specifically focus on Peabody Properties Miami, which includes the organization’s Florida portfolio, bringing her expertise in multiple disciplines of real estate developed over four decades.

Fish-Crane has spent more than 26 years at The Peabody Companies, most recently serving as COO. During her time as COO, she has helped to grow the organization’s management arm, Peabody Properties, to a record 15,275 units under management.

As CEO, Fish-Crane will continue to focus on business operations and is responsible for coordinating systems and resources throughout the organization to position the company to attain its established strategic objectives for future growth and stability.

Fish-Crane will also continue to collaborate with executive leadership members to retain oversight of all field management operations at client properties, increasing their financial stability through the application of proven management practices and value-added services.

A resident of Hingham, Fish-Crane also serves as the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Boston Chapter President since 2021. She has been affiliated with IREM since 2011 and is the qualifying member for certification of Peabody Properties as an Accredited Management Organization (AMO).

Fish-Crane also sits on the Metro Housing Boston Board of Directors and the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) Board of Directors. She also chairs Metro Housing Boston’s Development Committee and is a MassHousing Multi-Family Advisory Committee member. Fish-Crane is also a National Affordable Housing Professional (NAHP-e), achieving the level of C13P through Spectrum, and was named the National Affordable Housing Executive Professional of the Year by the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA) in 2015.
