The Davis Companies welcomes new tenants at Westport Center for Health

Westport, CT The Davis Companies (TDC) has executed two new leases at Westport Center for Health - a 38,000 s/f, class A medical office center. TDC welcomes both Westport Dermatology & Laser Center and Westport Dental Associates. The square footage for each of these leases was not disclosed. The center is located off I-95, and is less than one mile from the Westport Train Station and town center. It offers views of the Saugatuck River, branding opportunities and parking for tenants and visitors.

Westport Center for Health now represents the largest assemblage of medical space in the area, and is well-positioned to become a “one-stop-shop” for patients seeking care in the area. Westport Dermatology & Laser Center and Westport Dental Associates join Village Pediatrics and Women’s Health Connecticut to provide care in a convenient location.

David Allen, a vice president of asset management for TDC said, “We are thrilled to welcome Westport Dermatology & Laser Center and Westport Dental Associates to Westport Center for Health. By implementing best practices we’ve developed through our vast repositioning experience, we’ve transformed an out-of-date office park into a premier medical destination in Fairfield County, providing a much-needed service to the Westport community. These two leases, in addition to the two previous leases signed after our renovation, bring us one step closer to completing our vision of a one-stop-shop for medical care for the local community.”

TDC’s renovation of Westport Center for Health includes creating a parking ratio of 6 per 1,000 including 77 garage spaces, improved landscaping, roof repairs, a signage program, exterior siding repairs and painting, as well as completely renovated lobbies. All improvements will be completed by June.

“Westport Dermatology and Laser Center has been serving Fairfield County for over two decades. The practice has been expanding and we are excited to announce the opening of our new state-of-the-art facility in the Westport Center for Health. We look forward to continuing to serve the Fairfield County community,” said Tanya Futoryan, M.D., Westport Dermatology and Laser Center.

“Westport Dental Associates has been part of the Westport community since 1963 when Dr. Stanley Freeman opened the dental practice on Imperial Avenue. Since that time, we’ve grown to four dentists: Dr. Stanley Freeman, Dr. Brian Duchan and Dr. Adam Freeman and now we are welcoming our full-time, board-certified pediatric dentist Dr. Hannah Ahn. We look forward to moving to 329 Riverside Ave. in The Davis Companies’ newly created medical complex. We will have the most cutting edge dental practice in Connecticut,” said Adam Freeman, President of Westport Dental Associates.

TDC is receiving strong interest in this repositioned property. Avison Young’s Sean McDonnell, Lori Baker and Eva Kornreich are handling leasing for the center’s remaining space.

“It’s “the” place to be for medical services in Westport, and as physician groups come to realize this they are moving quickly and eagerly to set up their new practices and to start being able to deliver the best in-class services to their patients in a true healing environment,” said Avison Young Principal Sean McDonnell.

TDC is well-known for its successful repositioning and renovation projects throughout the Northeast. TDC is responsible for repositioning Charles River Plaza, which sits immediately adjacent to one of the nation’s top hospitals, and Massachusetts General Hospital, into the mixed-use center it is today. Currently, TDC is reimagining Pittsburgh’s landmark Union Trust Building into a lively office building with retail, restaurant and public meeting space.  The company recently completed substantial upgrades to The Center at Corporate Drive in Burlington, Mass., and The Xchange in Bedford, Mass., transforming two outdated office parks into modern office campuses.
