Tecton Architects receives awards from CREW CT, Construction Institute and SMPS

Hartford, CT Tecton Architects is honored to share that their people, projects and process have been recognized by the following awards to date in 2017:

CREW CT – The Real Estate Exchange

Blue Ribbon Awards, Best in Class Healthcare – Hartford Hospital CESI

Tecton Architects’ design of Hartford Hospital’s Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI) received the CREW CT Blue Ribbon Award for Best in Class Healthcare. CESI is the largest simulation teaching facility in New England, and draws nearly 11,000 visitors to Hartford every year. Tecton designed the original CESI facility in 2011, and will cut the ribbon on the 40,000 s/f addition this month. The new three-story expansion integrates Hartford Hospital’s signature color palette and branding with cutting-edge technology and equipment.

Blue Ribbon Awards, Best in Class Office – 450 Columbus Boulevard

Tecton Architects’ consolidation of State of Connecticut offices at 450 Columbus Blvd. received the CREW CT Blue Ribbon Award for Best in Class Office.  In a series of phases over two years, Tecton provided expert programming, space planning, change management, and design and construction documents. The team managed new furniture and move management services to relocate 2,200 state employees into newly purchased high rises in downtown Hartford. Working closely with a multitude of user groups, governing bodies and interest groups, Tecton delivered a comprehensive plan to infuse new life into Hartford’s north plaza. 

Construction Institute

Emerging Young Professional Leadership Award - Antonia Ciaverella

Antonia Ciaverella from Tecton Architects received the Construction Institute’s Emerging Young Professional Leadership Award. Ciaverella joined Tecton in 2016 and serves as an architectural designer in Tecton’s Healthcare Studio. She continues to pursue education and research exploring the relationship between neuroscience and architecture, combining a bachelor of architecture from Virginia Tech and certifications in Neuroscience. She is currently working toward a master’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Hartford.

SMPS Connecticut

Marketing Communications Award, Best Website - Tecton Architects

Tecton Architects was awarded an SMPS CT Marketing Communications Award for best website. The MCAs recognize excellence in marketing communications by professional services firms and marketers in the AEC industry. Tecton’s design integrates full bleed imagery and magazine-like spreads into an intuitive layout.
