Talacko retires from Hancock Associates
Danvers, MA According to Hancock Associates, Vaclav (Vasek) Talacko, PE has retired from the firm. Talacko had been with Hancock for nearly 40 years. Though based in the Danvers office for most of his career, he recently was working from the Newburyport office overseeing civil engineering projects and proposal development, and supporting office manager, Ed Dixon, PLS and engineering manager, Charlie Wear, PE, LEED AP.
“Vasek easily handled a myriad of complex projects with such a confident manner that it appeared he never had a bad day,” said Hancock Associates’ president, Wayne Jalbert, PLS. “As a former Hancock principal and shareholder, his utmost professionalism and infectious smile will be greatly missed.”
After receiving his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire and spending a short period of time in the world of geotechnical engineering, Talacko joined Hancock in 1984. His knowledge of local permitting and friendly manner allowed him to establish beneficial relationships.
with most North Shore municipal boards, including planning, zoning, health and conservation commissions, and grow into one of the foremost experts in the area.
