Takala appointed to managing director of acquisitions at The Davis Companies

According to The Davis Companies Bradford Takala has been appointed as managing director of acquisitions of Davis Investment Ventures. In this capacity, Takala will help to spearhead the growth of our investment activities, including the sourcing, analyzing, and structuring of new acquisitions. Takala's experience, talent, and industry connections will further enhance the company's efforts in making strategic investments. Takala is a veteran acquisition executive. He joins The Davis Companies with over 20 years of real estate and business experience, most recently as an acquisitions executive with Behringer Harvard, targeting investments for the firm's opportunity fund. He was formerly a partner and head of U.S. acquisitions for Taurus Capital Markets and spent nearly a decade with Invesco Real Estate. Takala has sourced and closed over $1 billion worth of investments. He had this to say about the move: "Having known and in fact competed with Brad for many years, I've developed a deep appreciation for his talents as an investor. He will be a perfect complement to the team we have assembled. His 20 years of experience and deal acumen will enable him to hit the ground running," said Jonathan Davis, CEO and founder of the Davis Companies. "I am very excited to join The Davis Companies. Having worked in the northeast markets for over ten years, I have long been impressed by the success of Jon and the Davis Companies." Takala went on to say, "Jon has a keen ability to understand the intrinsic value of real estate and to compete fiercely for both assets and tenants. He has assembled a fabulous team, which makes working with him very intriguing." Takala earned a Bachelor's degree in Government from St. Lawrence University and an MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt University. With his strong investment acumen and passion for acquisitions, we are fortunate that Takala has decided to join our team. He currently lives in Frisco, Texas with his wife and their three children. The Davis Companies is one of New England's largest privately held owners, developers and managers of commercial real estate. In operation since 1976, the company has acquired or developed approximately $2 billion worth of office, multi family, industrial, retail, medical office and bioscience facilities; it currently manages a portfolio of approximately 6 million square feet of property and commercial real estate loans. *If you have any questions, please contact Mariellen Burns / Regan Communications Group at 617-488-2875, (M) 617-406-8287
