Stephen DiPrete joins South Shore Bank as chief commercial banking officer

Stephen DiPrete joined South Shore Bank as Chief Commercial Banking Officer in May of 2020.

He brings nearly twenty-five years of banking experience and an award-winning record of providing customized commercial lending and cash management solutions to businesses throughout the region.

Steve leads the commercial services team and has been instrumental in expanding the bank’s growing commercial portfolio. Prior to joining the Bank, Steve spent sixteen years at Eastern Bank, most recently as a Senior Vice President with the Middle Market Lending team.

In his first year at South Shore Bank, Steve’s group worked with more than 1,000 local companies to secure Small Business Association (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans. He established new relationships and refined and built products and services that are aligned with the needs of commercial clients. In addition to its people, what makes the Bank unique is its ability to offer all the smart, convenient, and forward-thinking business tools you’d find at a larger bank but with access to local decision makers and key management to support your business when and where you need us.

Steve embraces the core values of community banking and what South Shore Bank stands for − working to help our people, clients, and communities build shared success. As a mutual bank, our commitment is rooted in the needs of our clients rather than the demands of investors. He is active in the community, coaching youth sports and serving on the Corporate Advisory Council of Cradles to Crayons and is a passionate supporter of veterans’ organizations, including Mass Fallen Heroes, Veterans Legal Services and The New England Center and Home for Veterans.
