Torrington, CT Paul Bongiorni of SR Commercial Realty leased the commercial space at Pennrose’s new Torrington Riverfront redevelopment.
The first floor unit will be home to Perk and Paws Cat Cafe, where patrons can drink coffee around cats that are available for adoption. It will be one of the first cat cafe concepts in Connecticut, and the first in Litchfield County.
The new-construction, mixed-use building at 100 Franklin St. was completed in 2022, through a partnership involving Pennrose and the City of Torrington. The site was home to Torrington Manufacturing Company (Torin) and several other industrial uses, before the original structures were demolished in 2010.
Paul Bongiorni and his team will be making a donation on behalf of Perk and Paws and Penn
rose to Love For Meow Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that “offers a safe refuge for stray, feral, and neglected cats.”
