Skanska USA participates in the Cradles to Crayons annual Back Pack-A-Thon
Skanska USA recently participated in the Cradles to Crayons annual Back Pack-A-Thon in the city's Government Center, where they stuffed more than 1,000 backpacks with necessary school supplies.
At this year's event, more than 700 participants put together a combined 30,000 backpacks for families in need. Cradles to Crayons will donate the backpacks to students and families who need financial support for the school materials essential for learning.
Skanska is passionate about philanthropy, therefore its employees often donate time and resources to benefit the regions in which the company works.
For example, Skanska's Boston office collaborates throughout the year with organizations including Rebuilding Together Boston, United Way, Boston Private Industry Council and Toys for Tots.
