SIOR participates in Habitat for Humanity work party

Chapter members recently participated in a Habitat for Humanity work party at the Bridgeport Habitat of Coastal Fairfield County facility. Many doors were painted, and interior and exterior walls were framed for a new home. While this work was occurring at Habitat's Bridgeport warehouse, sheetrockers were busy completing their work inside Staff Sergeant Juliette Taylor's new home. The chapter has previously worked on Sergeant Taylor's home and in the spring held a benefit concert raising funds for the Habitat for Heroes program. Staff Sergeant Taylor's home is the first being constructed under this new Habitat program designed to directly benefit our veterans.
