Shannon president of Ceilings & Interior Systems Construction Association
William Shannon, co-founder and president of Shannon Corp., an architectural products consulting and representative firm, has been named president of the Ceilings & Interior Systems Construction Association (CISCA) for its 2010-2011 term.
"I am honored to serve as president of this prestigious industry organization," said Shannon. "The interior construction industry has been my professional life for more than 40 years. It's exciting, challenging, demanding and, best of all, more fun than any other industry one can imagine!"
Shannon first became involved with CISCA more than 35 years ago while working at Gilbert Phillips Inc., a Long Island, N.Y. contractor. In 1980, he joined CISCA as a manufacturers' representative.
CISCA is an international trade association founded in 1950 for the advancement of the interior commercial construction industry. Its membership includes over 600 of the leading contractors, distributors, manufacturers and independent manufacturer's representatives worldwide.
Shannon Corp. is an independent manufacturer's representative of unique specialty interior and exterior architectural products and systems.
