Schultz and Best join Parsons Brinckerhoff at its Glastonbury office

Jeffrey Schultz has been named a senior principal technical specialist at Parsons Brinckerhoff. Parsons Brinckerhoff is serving as the program manager to the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), overseeing implementation of new passenger rail service along the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield (NHHS) rail corridor. In his new position, Schultz will be responsible for service and operations planning, including fleet, schedule, maintenance and service amenities issues for the program, which will see new Amtrak and CTDOT train service on the NHHS rail corridor beginning in 2016. Schultz has over 20 years of experience in the passenger rail and rail freight industries. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was a project manager with the Washington State DOT, responsible for managing a variety of capital projects. Schultz holds an MS degree in transportation geography from San Diego State University and a BA in geography and political science from Drake University. Warren Best has been named a project engineer at Parsons Brinckerhoff. In his new position, Best is overseeing construction on the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge in New Haven, responsible for cost and schedule control, federal reporting, engineering support services and construction management support. He has over 20 years of structural engineering experience in the design, inspection and rating of steel and concrete bridges. Best received a BSCE degree from the University of Hartford.
