Sanchez promoted to vice president of field operations by Shawmut Design

Shawmut Design and Construction has appointed Michael Sanchez to vice president of field operations. In his new role, Sanchez will be tasked with overseeing the company's complex, innovative and high-profile construction projects. Sanchez joined Shawmut in 1992, and most recently served as director of field operations. Over the last 18 years, He has had a variety of roles from project superintendent to general superintendent, as well as project manager to managing director of the commercial group. In these roles, Sanchez developed a no-nonsense reputation for efficiency, discipline and innovative problem-solving methods. The majority of Sanchez's projects have involved building complexities such as working within operational environments, with multiple user groups and working within constricted urban settings. Clients include: Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Phillips Exeter Academy, Blackstone Properties, Sovereign Bank, Danvers Bank, Fenway Park, Game On!, FAO Schwarz, and California Pizza Kitchen.
