Samuel Thomas - age 60

Samuel Thomas, age 60, formerly of Boston, died on March 7. Thomas had a career in real estate, including work at Whittier Partners, Madison Advisory, and Grubb and Ellis. He was owner and operator of SPT Realty. A Celebration of Life will be held April 5 at 11:00 am at The United Congregational Church, The Commons, Little Compton. All are invited. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Sam's memory to The United Congregational Church Ministerial Fund, Box 506, Little Compton, R.I. 02837 He was the husband of Margaret "Maggie" (Huelskamp) Thomas. Born in Cambridge, MA, a son of Constance (Beale) Thomas of Jamestown, RI and the late W. G. Brooks Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a descendant from the first Mayor of Boston, the founders of Andover/Exeter Academy, and Phillips Brooks, Trinity Church, Boston. He studied at The Rectory School in Pomfret, CT, Boys Latin in Baltimore, MD, attended Johns Hopkins University and was a graduate of the University of Maryland. Thomas was an avid fly fisherman and sailor. He was a member of the Sakonnet Yacht Club and Society of Colonial Warriors. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, two daughters Ashley Thomas Clark and her husband John of Providence, RI, and Molly Thomas of Manchester, MA, one brother Mark Thomas and his wife Kitty of Kansas and two sisters, Pamela Berman and her husband Larry of Baltimore, and Geraldine Carroll and her husband Dr. Charles Carroll of Chicago, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
