Rodgers wins the 2009 Village Bank Service Excellence Award
According to Kenneth Brennan, president and CEO of The Village Bank, Kay Rodgers of Auburndale has been honored as the most recent recipient of the Bank's Service Excellence Award.
Winners of the Service Excellence Award are nominated for this special recognition by both customers and co-workers. It is traditionally granted to an employee who consistently goes above and beyond to provide superior customer service, and who demonstrates a strong commitment to the values held by The Village Bank.
Rodgers, a senior teller, has been with The Village Bank since 1997, and works at the main office in Auburndale.
"Rodgers is described by our customers and her managers as efficient, thorough, and extremely pleasant," said Brennan in making the award. "She has a very loyal customer base in Auburndale and, as one customer told us, Kay creates trust in The Village Bank because of her personality and excellent customer service."
Before joining The Village Bank, Rodgers held administrative positions with Equifax Service and Norian-Siani Engineering Company. She was also a library assistant at Lasell College Library. She is a graduate of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
A member of the Corpus Christi-St. Bernard Parish in Newton, she is a member of the choir and the Parish Guild. She was chairperson of the Corpus Christi - St. Bernard Parish 2009 CROP Walk, and serves as a member of the Social Justice and Outreach Commission.
She and her husband, Thomas Rodgers, are the parents of four children, Barbara Maratos, Deborah Caamano, and Karen and Joseph Rodgers.
