Rockland Trust provides $6 million in loans to Master Millwork to triple in size from 25,000 s/f to 67,000 s/f of facility space

West Wareham, MA Rockland Trust has provided Master Millwork with $6 million in loans to expand its business. This expansion will enable Master Millwork to almost triple in size, going from 25,000 s/f to 67,000 s/f of facility space with manufacturing equipment and solar power for green energy operations. To assist with the increase in production once construction is complete in January 2022, the business plans to hire 10 - 30 new employees.

“We have developed a strong working relationship with John Davison and Rockland Trust over the years and appreciate how they nurture a hands-on, relationship-driven, local bank feel while also bringing the horsepower of a large national bank,” said Jesse Kirby, president of Master Millwork.

Master Millwork is a commercial architectural millwork and cabinetry firm, offering construction services throughout New England and the Mid- Atlantic. They provide turn-key and custom-built interior finish carpentry services specializing in senior living, multi-unit apartments, hotels, restaurants, libraries, and schools.

“It has been a pleasure working with Mr. Kirby and Mr. Masse on the growth of their business over the last seven years,” said John Davison, first vice president and commercial lending center manager at Rockland Trust. “Their expertise and long-standing commitment to providing high-quality carpentry services has earned them an invaluable reputation throughout New England. We look forward to seeing what they achieve with their new workspace while increasing employment opportunities within our community.”

These loans will coincide with two Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loans financed from South Eastern Economic Development Corp. (SEED).

By working with SEED for an SBA 504 loan, Master Millwork will have 90% of the loan financed between both SBA and Rockland Trust.

“SEED is excited to be a part of the expansion of Master Millwork’s facility,” said Lisa Holmes, SVP. “It’s a privilege to come alongside this small business and Rockland Trust and witness how the owners’ skillsets learned in youth have blossomed into an incredible and growing venture. Their quality work and reputation have resulted in contracts all along the East Coast and therefore the numerous positions they have created have benefited a multitude of communities, which is a top priority of the SBA 504 program. Looking forward to seeing the final thoughtful and ‘green facility that Mr. Kirby and Mr. Masse have envisioned come to fruition.”
