RI AGC to hold golf event scholarship fundraiser - June 15
The Rhode Island Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (RIAGC) will hold its annual golf tournament on June 15, at the Metacomet Country Club. The fund-raiser supports scholarships up to $10,000 to help several students each year in construction-related higher education programs, such as construction management, engineering and architecture.
This year, the Rhode Island Building and Construction Trades Council is co-sponsoring the event. Each year, RIAGC uses the tournament proceeds to finance a major donation to the R.I. Building Industry Scholarship Fund, which is supported by a coalition of construction industry associations. In addition to the RIAGC, participating construction industry associations include the R.I. chapters of the Construction Specifications Institute, American Institute of Architects, National Association of Women in Construction, Construction Financial Management Association, Subcontractors Association and Society of Professional Engineers.
The day's events at the Metacomet Country Club will include a buffet lunch, the afternoon golf tournament, and an evening reception, equipment raffle and awards ceremony. To register for the tournament, call the RIAGC office at (401) 454-1990.
