The project, which was funded with a $5.42 million loan under the Department of HUD's Section 202 program, consists of the renovation of a vacant elementary school into 32 housing units and construction of a new seven story 67 unit facility adjacent to the school.
Architect for the site is the Boston Architectural Team with Joseph Kelly as project architect.
The building will contain 94 one bedroom and 5 two bedroom apartments, 12 of those for handicapped persons. The hot water heating system is designed for solar assistance. Completion is scheduled for Feb. 1983.
