Reilly, Madson and Casey promoted to principals of CBT Architects

CBT Architects (CBT) named several principal-level promotions as part of their ongoing plan to strengthen overall leadership in the firm. Chad Reilly, AIA, Dave Madson, LEED AP, and Philip Casey, AIA, LEED AP, have each been named to principal, bringing extensive industry experience to the executive team. "CBT's greatest strength is the skill and talent of its staff," said Richard Bertman, FAIA, LEED AP, a founding principal of CBT. "These promotions recognize key individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth and success of the firm, and will act as leaders for its future." Prior to joining CBT in 1996, Reilly was a designer at Epstein Global in Warsaw, Poland, and Wilson, Gregory, Aeberhard, PLC in United Kingdom, London. With 20 years of architectural design experience, Reilly is a major force behind CBT's strategic planning, project management, and staffing operations, and has been instrumental in advancing the firm's sustainable initiatives and integrated design process. In addition to being named principal, he was recently promoted as the firm's chief operating officer. Reilly holds a Master of Architecture Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard University. Madson has been with CBT since 1997 and has played a key role in the expansion of the firm's workplace design group, which creates cutting edge office spaces that reflect today's trends of collaboration and flexibility. With over 20 years of architectural and interior design experience, he has a deep understanding of client service, which has led to long-standing relationships with multiple projects within the firm. In his role as principal, Madson will provide leading perspectives and innovative design solutions that enhance CBT's core business and overall ability to work efficiently and effectively with clients including WeWork, Shawmut, and Analysis Group. In addition to his work at CBT, he is a visiting thesis advisor at the Boston Architectural College and New England School of Art and Design. Madson holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Carnegie Mellon University. Casey has been with CBT since 2004 and has over 17 years of professional experience in leading a wide range of projects from multi-family residential to commercial mixed-use developments. In his role as principal, he will continue to spearhead the firm's most complex, and large-scale, mixed-use residential projects in Boston, including Skanska's 121 Seaport Blvd. project, the 30-story AVA Theater District development, and the 38-story Avalon North Station Tower. Additionally, Casey's innovative and forward-thinking mindset will help CBT to continue attracting high-end projects, adding to its already impressive portfolio. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Syracuse University, he is an active supporter of the United Way organization and Citizen's school.
