Real Estate Finance Association hosts a program on “CRE Tech in Practice” Feb. 28th

Boston, MA On Thursday, February 28th REFA held a program on “CRE Tech in Practice” at Morgan Lewis, One Federal St. The panel discussion, moderated by Wilds Ross, principal at KPMG, focused on the panel’s experiences with technology and data in the workplace, what is most impactful, and how new technology is changing the CRE/finance world. Panelists included Maureen Joyce, director, AEW Capital Management; Hisham Kader, EVP and CFO, GID Investment Advisers LLC; and Jim Whalen, SVP, chief information & technology officer, Boston Properties. 

Loan documents will be the topic of discussion at REFA’s first Fundamentals event of the year, held on Wednesday, March 20th at Nutter, 155 Seaport Blvd. Wendy Fiscus, partner, Nutter and Mandy Eckhoff, partner, Robinson + Cole LLP will be co-hosting this program to provide participants with the fundamentals and key elements of loan documents. 

Over the past couple of months, REFA members and colleagues attended and participated in several national real estate industry conferences. Join them on April 2nd for an in-depth discussion as a panel of industry leaders share their take-aways and outlook from the conferences as well as what highlights and trends they are seeing from a national level. Claudia Piper, SVP, Webster Bank and 2019 REFA president-elect will moderate the discussion with panelists Jonathan Schneider, EVP, JLL; Justin Smith, managing director, Newmark Knight Frank and Alan Suzuki, senior director, HFF. More speakers to be announced! The program will be held from 8 – 9:15 a.m, with registration and networking beginning at 7:45 AM.

The industrial markets have never been stronger. What has happened is that the build out of Devens with new high-tech biotech manufacturing with housing to service these buildings serves as the connector required to really make the I-495 West market sizzle. Worcester has been the beneficiary
