An authority on leasing, Federal Housing and Urban Renewal in the New England area, Len has been associated with First Hartford Realty Corp., a publically-owned real estate development company, since it started in 1961. He has earned a national reputation for his work in UR and FH for the firm and is now directing the vigorous expansion of its apartment-residential building division. He is known in the Boston area for his work in developing the North Shore Gardens, the largest self-contained garden apartment development in New England. “Because of the great success in Peabody, we are actively seeking other good apartment sites in the Greater Boston area.”
Len served in the Pacific with the Navy in WWII, and after graduation in 1949 from Brown, he joined the Green Manor Construction Co. as a field foreman and superintendent for single-family home developments. Among his other responsibilities, he now heads First Hartford’s management division and is in charge of all the firm’s income producing properties. “Things have never been better for our type of business and we expect a sharp increase in our growth rate in the near future.”
