Family: Wife, Kathy and three sons (Howard, Nickolas and Lukas)

College: Southern New Hampshire University, BS and MS.

First job unrelated to your current field: After graduating with my Master’s Degree in Computer Science, I worked as a software engineer for a company that developed funds transfer and inter banking systems for large banking institutions.

First job in current field: I was a laborer on a framing crew when I was in high school. I worked with many different crews in the construction field during the college summer breaks.

What does your firm do now, and what are the firm’s plans for the future: Cottage Advisors is focused on the development of right-sized, cottage style residential communities.Our most recent project is a pocket neighborhood community in West Newbury, MA called, The Cottages at River Hill. We have spent over a decade developing our community framework and are bringing our pocket neighborhoods and new urbanism concepts, coupled with right-sized homes, to meet the changing demographics in household formation.

Hobbies: Weight training and fishing.

Favorite novel books: Straight From the Gut, Cut Throats.

Favorite flm: Heartbreak Ridge

If you had to choose a different profession, what would it be: If I had to leave the development business, I would return to high technology management. I spent 20 years in this field and it has many of the same attributes as real estate development; solving complex problems, driving a diverse multi-disciplined team while offering large risks and rewards
