Advice/Keys to success: Stay positive and trust your instincts. There are many opportunities for women to succeed in the A/E/C community. Look for a mentor you admire and who believes in you; establish lofty goals and strive for them.
Bio: Ellithorpe is an associate principal and leader of the firm’s Corporate Architectural Studio. With the firm since 1988, she guides the comprehensive programming, development and documentation of many projects, with expertise in interior architecture and design, detail development, specifications, and coordination of consultant services. She works closely with the client and organizes team architects, engineers, and consultants to provide comprehensive solutions specifically tailored to the client’s needs.
Associations: (AIA) Connecticut Chapter, Connecticut Building Congress (CBC) past President and member of the Board of Directors and Programs Committee. Construction Institute, Professional Women in Construction (PWC) and is a Permanent Building Commission board member in the Town of Suffield.
