Wakefield, MA The newest Brightview Senior Living community has been completed just in time for residents to enjoy the December holidays in their new home. The senior living community is located at 21 Crescent St. and is owned by Brightview Senior Living Development. PROCON was the architect and construction manager for the 167,000 s/f building, which is walking distance from the Lake Quannapowitt and 10 miles from Boston.
The design team fit the 4-story building into the existing urban fabric of Wakefield by using the language of many of the historic buildings in town to inspire the design. Brightview Wakefield features 130 luxury apartments in a variety of styles and care options including 61 independent living, 42 assisted living (10 of which are premium), and 27 Wellspring Village apartment homes. Wellspring Village is a specialized Brightview neighborhood designed to enhance the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
At 167,000 s/f and tucked between the town’s businesses, the Wakefield community was one of the tightest Brightview projects sites ever constructed by PROCON. However, David Carliner, partner and executive vice president of Brightview Senior Living Development, commented on the exceptional work of the project team saying, “PROCON did such a great job of not just squeezing the building on the site but designing it to meet all of our expectations. From the get-go, they got control of this complex project and have constructed it with precision.”

Group activity spaces encourage residents to enjoy purposeful activities, clubs, games and hobbies.
